Sandra joined MMH Lawyers in 2017 as a law clerk and completed her Bachelor of Laws at La Trobe University in 2018. Sandra was admitted in the Supreme Court of Victoria in March 2020 whilst pursuing her postgraduate study in Migration law at Victoria University.
Prior to joining MMH Lawyers, Sandra actively volunteered at the Whittlesea Community Legal Centre and AMES. Sandra has always had strong passion for law, especially migration law and social justice, and it was her willingness of giving back to the community that led her to seek out a career as a lawyer and practising Migration law as the main area of law.
Sandra is passionate about social change, particularly advocating for the rights of refugees. Sandra migrated from Iraq to Australia when she was in primary school, and from her own experience, she understands the struggle of migration and building a life in a new country. After graduating, Sandra found her interest in Migration law and has been following that pathway ever since. She finds deep satisfaction in contributing her knowledge and skills to help clients overcome their immigration struggles.
Sandra is bilingual, experienced, fluent English- Arabic-and – Chaldean (Aramaic) speaking with excellent communication skills and a true passion for helping people from diverse backgrounds and disadvantaged communities.
In addition to her interest in migration law, Sandra has experience in assisting clients in various areas of law such as criminal law and intervention order matters, family law, wills and estate matters and property and conveyancing matters.
Sandra adopts a hands-on approach with her clients and is passionate about building relationships with the firm’s clients and assisting them through their legal matter.
